Christian Medical College, Vellore

Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, has partnered with Mercy Hospital to conduct a two-year distance education program to provide an opportunity for general medical practitioners to take post-graduate courses and stay up-to-date with modern medical methodologies and treatments. The two-year program with 75 modules for 80 different ailments will build the capacity of general practitioners to manage more cases so that referral to larger hospitals becomes less necessary. This will ultimately benefit the financially burdened patients by enabling them to receive adequate treatment in smaller clinics rather than larger, higher-cost medical facilities.

We are passionate about justice and bringing a vision of H.O.P.E. to the children of the red light districts of Calcutta, India. We believe in the power of H.O.P.E. to transform lives. We are committed to raising funds for the purpose of educating and raising the children born to prostitutes in Calcutta, India.

A partnership between Northwest University and Mercy Hospital enables students from the Mark and Huldah Buntain School of Nursing at Northwest University to fulfil their cross-cultural intensive clinical requirements at Mercy Hospital and its’ mobile Mercy Clinics. These one-month programs prepare students to practice their medical skills in a cross-cultural environment.
Waterford School

Waterford, a liberal arts preparatory school in Utah, has partnered with Buntain Foundation and Mercy Hospital to enhance the educational experiences of both schools students and faculty. Each summer, a team of Waterford professors teach a selection of Calcutta high school students in a variety of liberal arts subjects. The experience expands the Waterford professors' cultural understanding before they launch a Global Humanities curriculum at the Waterford School. For the Calcutta students, the experience provides a unique opportunity to experience the depth and vibrancy of American liberal arts education. Participating students receive a graded assessment and a certificate of completion and letter of recommendation upon completion of the program.
